We R Interactive is offering physical merchandise for its fictional football club River Park FC to the games’ half a million plus global players exclusively via an I AM PLAYR F-commerce storefront powered by Zibaba.
Through the storefront players can purchase official Nike-branded River Park FC team shirts, as well as the clubs’ scarves – much in the same way that football fans purchase apparel from their favourite real-life teams.
And to reward purchases and incentivise players back to I AM PLAYR, players who upload a photo of themselves wearing a River Park FC shirt to the I AM PLAYR Facebook Wall receive 400 free coins for use in I AM PLAYR. Users uploading a photo of themselves wearing a River Park FC scarf receive 100 free coins for the game and those who upload their photos receive a virtual I AM PLAYR ‘Superfan Trophy.’
