We R Interactive Hires Eric Emanuel to Newly Created Operations Director Role

We R Interactive has added more senior talent to its team, this time hiring Eric Emanuel as its first Operations Director. Emanuel brings twelve years online games publishing experience to the role.

Reporting to We R Interactive CEO David Rose, Emanuel is charged with ensuring the continued delivery of the best possible service levels and product quality across the companies’ expanding portfolio. Specifically, his role will encapsulate We R Interactive’s IT, QA, customer service and localisation functions.

Before joining We R Interactive he spent two years providing consultancy on business development, data analysis and business models to online gaming companies. Prior to that, he was at NCsoft Europe for five years, initially as QA and Live Ops Manager- which saw him setting up both departments; before becoming VP Strategy of Europe.  During these years, he was responsible for the development and strategy of NCsoft’s European online business, payment systems and games data analysis and reporting.

Emanuel began his career in online games publishing at GOA, France Telecom where he spent four years in the role of Localization, Community and QA Manager working across games such as Dark Age of Camelot.

Last month We R Interactive announced that its social football game I AM PLAYR had reached the 1 million monthly active user milestone just six months since its official launch. And last week the company brought more real-life top tier football talent into the game with England team captain Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson all now appearing in a new Challenge Zone where the user gets to pitch themselves against the pros in a series of 3D shooting challenges.
